German Gref, President, Chairman Of The Board Of Sberbank:

"Today, Russian agriculture is one of the most competitive in the world, and most importantly, the Russian peasant feeds Russia. We turned the situation around in the 90s and proved that there can be an economy in agriculture."

"The focus of the program development is the entrepreneur. It creates jobs, it can be a participant in the development of infrastructure, but, of course, it needs the help of the state. The driver of development is an investment project."

"Banks are natural centers of expertise. Sberbank is deeply integrated into this scheme, and our agricultural portfolio is 1.2 trillion rubles. In the program, we currently occupy 35% of the total volume of investment projects."

"We must create new standards of life in rural areas, so that people have the opportunity to fully develop and get a decent self-education and education for their children. In my opinion, the key for the village is the figure of the teacher."

The main objectives of the state program is the preservation of the share of rural population in total population of Russia at least 25.3%, achieving a ratio of the average disposable resources of rural and urban households up to 80%, increasing the share of the total area of the arranged well dwellings in rural settlements up to 50%.
