Russia and Serbia are developing cooperation in the agrarian sector

This year, Serbia acted as a partner country of the 21st Russian agricultural exhibition "Golden autumn". The exposition of the Republic aroused great interest among visitors: within the framework of the exhibition, Serbian farmers introduce their national food products to the guests of the "Golden autumn".

The participation of the Serbian delegation in the events of the agro-industrial complex Week will give an additional impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector. Thus, on the sidelines of the I International agro-industrial forum, a working meeting was held between the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev and the Minister of agriculture, forestry and water resources of the Republic of Serbia Branislav Nedimovich.

As Dmitry Patrushev noted, the volume of trade in agricultural products and food between the countries is growing, and Russian suppliers are interested in increasing supplies to the Serbian market of grain, meat, fish and dairy products.

Speaking about the development of mutual trade, the Russian Minister positively assessed the completion of the negotiation process on the conclusion of a new free trade Agreement with the Republic of Serbia. The parties also conducted thorough work on the preparation of an Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of quarantine and plant protection, which is planned to be signed in the near future.
