From 10 to 12 July Leningrad region will be great center for agricultural sector country. «Russian field day» be held here.

The geography of this important event, which combines the demonstration of the achievements of domestic agriculture and professional scientific and business forum, was not determined by chance. In 2018, the share of the Leningrad region in the production of gross agricultural products of the North-Western Federal district was 37%. At the end of last year, the region is the leader in egg production (3157.7 million units) and dairy productivity of cows in agricultural organizations (8590 kg). Farmers of the region also reached the figure of 313.8 thousand tons for the production of poultry meat, which provided them with the fifth place in Russia. In addition, with the sixth indicator in the country in milk production (587.3 thousand tons) completed Leningrad agricultural organizations in 2018. Such results were largely possible thanks to the state program "Development of agriculture in the Leningrad region". For its implementation in 2018, 6.2 billion rubles were allocated, and 4.7 billion-directly from the regional budget. This year, the program will be financed by about 6.3 billion rubles: the regional government plans to spend on it, in particular, 5.1 billion rubles.
